    YOUR COURSE PLAN

    STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

    The course is structured as follows: 

    INDUCTION: participants personal work to get initiated into the topic of the course.

    COURSE CONTENT: in order to work on the content, the course is divided in five sections. Each section combines one live video conference class, combined with online learning through resources and activities to be done before and after the video conference.

    CLOSING SESSION: 1 hour video conference session to sum up the program, solve questions arose during the course and provide general feedback about the requested activities.

    HOW YOU WILL LEARN

    METHODOLOGY

    The methodology of this course, as al Deusto Summer School courses, will be based on the University of Deusto Learning Model, adapted to distance learning. This model enables the autonomous learning of the students and encourages the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes, capacities and values.

    • Samiha Chemli: With a PhD in Organisational Management and Tourism (University of La Manouba, Tunisia), she has more than 15 years of teaching experience in Asia and, currently, she is teaching in Deusto University. Profile
    • Jose Luis Del Val Roman: PhD in Computer Science from University of Deusto. Professor in the Department of Mechanics, Industrial Organization and Design. Director of the Engagement Office and President of Deusto Forum. Profile.
    • Giuseppe Aliperti: with a PhD in Change and Complexity Management from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Italy), he is currently Assistant Professor at University of Deusto and visiting researcher at Wakayama University. His research focuses on tourism and crisis/disaster risk management. Profile
    • Michail Toanoglou: Dr. Michail Toanoglou is a tourism expert and hospitality professional with extensive involvement in the private and public sectors. He is Head of Department Hospitality Management SIHOM Woosong University and  Editor In Chief at JOSM. Profile.

    CERTIFICATE

    Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an attendance evidence document proving the participating in this 1 ECTS course.
