The group works on research and innovation initiatives aimed at analysing current practices and future trends in deliberative and participatory democracies at different governance levels It aims at promoting more transparent and accountable governance systems and creating spaces open to citizens’ participation and conducive to collective decisions through public deliberation. This interdisciplinary group also takes into consideration the impact of both education, technologies and internet (including social media) in the strengthening of democracy.
